SITING: indoors in a cool spot, away from drafts and direct sunlight
SEASON: mid-Autumn, Winter to mid-Spring
TASTE: This is a functional mushroom not a gourmet mushroom. It can be dried and powdered or consumed fresh by brewing in a tea or used for tinctures. Taste is reminiscent of aged wood
HARVEST: When the white edge of the caps starts narrowing and a brownish powder initially starts appearing on the mushroom
YIELD: 5-6 flushes, yielding a total of about 1kg. Flushes will occur one month apart
PROPERTIES: Studies show that this mushroom helps boost the immune system
CURIOSITY: The bottom of this mushroom will turn from white to brown on contact (see drawing on underside of mushroom)
